Global Missions
At MBC, we take the call to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19) literally as a command that is applicable in our local
community but also to the ends of the earth.
Mackay Baptist Church has a long history of being a supporting and sending church. In addition to our financial support for a number
of missionaries and mission organisations, we have coordinated, sent and supported families and young adults on short and long-term
missions trips to places like Vanuatu, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Malawi. We have commissioned members and
friends of the church on longer-term missions trips to places like China, Mongolia, India and South Sudan.

At MBC, we believe that mission is not only an aspect of church life, but the very purpose of the Church. By supporting the translation
and preaching of God's word, we are helping to spread the good news of God's grace and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. By providing
assistance, from medical care through to meeting the practical needs of others, we are demonstrating the love of Christ in
accordance with Matthew 24:45.
The policy of MBC is to assign a minimum of 10% of all offerings received to missions-related activities.
