God has high expectations for every man to be His representative to your family, your co-workers, your Christian brothers
and sisters and the world. MBC has a number of complimentary ministries to support, encourage and disciple men:
Men's Breakfast is usually held on the first Saturday of the month at 7:00am. (Check the events to verify). This is a great time
for fellowship and great food. Introduce yourself to other Christians or come along to see what Christianity is all about.
A short devotion is usually given and donations provided on the day support children and communities through Baptist World Aid
as well as other missions.
A camp for men (and boys) is run every year at the Williams Farm. This is a great opportunities for men of all ages, including
Dads with their sons, to come together for fellowship, food and flying fox - as well as being challenged and encouraged from the
Word of God. Future camp dates will be advertised in the events section to the right.
In conjunction with Men's Camp, the church also runs regular "Shed Night" events for men to come together in fellowship and
to critique the driving skills of a special guest around a farm rally course in our reasonably priced ute.
Aspire Jesus is a 6-week group study program for men, grounded in the basic, yet revolutionary biblical truth that true men
are called to bear the image of Christ. This study covers 6 crucial ways in which we should strive to become more like Christ
on our quest towards real manhood.
The Aspire Jesus course has been prepared and run by Mackay Baptist Church. For more information this ministry, refer to
the dedicated web site at: www.aspirejesus.com.
The public blog site for the Aspire Jesus course contains regular posts, thoughts and discussion on key discipleship topics
for men as an extension of the Aspire Jesus training course. Posts are typically updated fortnightly. This blog can be found at:
